External printers

An external printer is typically a printer that is placed in a kitchen or bar, so when items are rung up on the POS system the orders are automatically printed on these printers.

This saves time for the cashier to go to the kitchen or bar and tell the chef or barman what to prepare.

It is also a good security feature in that you can instruct the kitchen staff that no orders are to be prepared unless it is on a kitchen slip. This way you will know that the product has been rung up on the till.
